From the Heart of the Grinch: A Call to Love More
In the depths of Mount Crumpet, where cold winds blow,
Sat I, the Grinch, with a whole new flow.
Once filled with hate all the way to my core,
I now have Peace and Joy and ask all to Love More
Once, I despised the WHOs because they despised me,
and because I was different, I never felt like a “We.”
But a miracle happened one Christmas Eve night,
When I learned that peace and love were the real inner lights.
After I took their presents, their trees, even their roast beast,
It didn’t break their Love and Peace, and Unity never ceased.
They circled up and found strength in their song,
And they even asked the old Grinch to sing along.
And I felt at that moment that I might have been wrong,
All along!
But just like the WHOs in their bright, merry town,
We, too, face a world that sometimes brings us down.
Disagreements and conflicts, like storms, may appear,
But it’s in understanding each other that we conquer the fear.
We’re different in ways, like the snowflakes in the skies,
Each is unique in shape and size, but all the same to the sky.
Yes, the Grinch and the WHOs came together as one,
and I found that Love was the only truth under the Sun.
So here’s my plea from Mount Crumpet to you,
To find Love and peace in your hearts, as the WHOs taught me to.
For in each act of kindness, in every gesture of grace,
We build a world where every heart finds its place.
May we listen, may we learn, and in differences, find worth,
For Love and Peace on this Earth starts with Love and Peace with us first.
From the heart of the Grinch, once filled with disdain,
A message of Love and Hope comes: in unity, we all gain.
