Becoming the Dreamcatcher Part 4 – The Question That Echoes in Every Healing Heart: How do I begin to believe again?

This isn’t just about chasing dreams; it’s about becoming the vessel through which they are realized.

What I once dreamed I left behind,
In shadowed halls of my mind.
But in the dark, a whisper stirred,
A broken truth, a healing word.
The child I was still knew the way,
Through colored skies and wings of clay.
I asked, “Can I believe once more?”
The wind replied, “That’s what wings are for.”

What if believing again is not about going back, but about rising?
In this week’s Butterfly Mondays, we return to the sacred journey of Becoming the Dreamcatcher. So many of us have suffered beneath the weight of lost belief, trauma that stripped away imagination, and systems that taught us to distrust wonder. But this week, we reclaim it.
Through sacred reflection, we explore what happens when imagination is restored, not as a fantasy, but as a function of healing. When we begin to believe again, we stop surviving and start co-creating our divine future.
Join us on this transformative journey as we step into the sacred space where our divine dreams and courageous hearts meet. Many of us have asked: “How do I begin to believe again?” This session answers that call. Join us as we explore the damage trauma has done to our imagination and how reclaiming belief can reignite our power to dream.
We’re not just dreaming—we’re remembering.
Bring your wings, your heart, and your story. Remember, Becoming the Dreamcatcher involves not only catching the dreams that call us forward but also removing the implants, false beliefs, internalized shame, and generational trauma that hold us back.
Before we can chase new dreams or catch divine visions of who we are meant to become, we must confront one of the most significant casualties of trauma: our ability to believe.
We must ask:
What happened to our belief in magic, imagination, wonder, and possibility?
What happened to the wings we were born with?
The Imagination We Were Told to Outgrow
As children, imagination came naturally. We believed in talking animals, magical lands, flying houses, and endless possibilities. Our dreams were full of colors we couldn’t name and worlds we had not yet seen. We danced without music and laughed without reason. Our spirits still soared.
However, then came stigma disguised as structure.
We were told to “grow up.”
To “stop daydreaming.”
To “face reality.”
We were graded on conformity, not creativity. We were rewarded for compliance, not courage. So, brick by brick, the wall went up around our wonder. In the Land of WizOz, we learn that this wall was not built to protect us; it was built to contain us. Many of us internalized the myth that imagination was weakness. That dreaming was foolish. That wonder was childish. We were handed scripts to follow and instructed to abandon the sacred compass within us. However, the truth is that imagination is the gateway to transformation. To believe again is to remember what our soul always knew.
What Trauma Does to Our Ability to Dream
Trauma not only wounds us physically or emotionally; it also warps the structure of our beliefs.
Trauma teaches us:
• That the world is unsafe.
• That dreams lead to disappointment.
• That happiness is fleeting, but pain lasts forever.
When trauma affects us, especially early on, it becomes a co-author of our inner story. We stop writing from the heart and start scripting for survival. Also, once we shift into survival mode, there is no room for dreaming. In the Land of WizOz, trauma takes many forms: the Pied Piper’s constant fear, the Wizzo’s illusion of control, and the yellow bricks beneath our feet, worn down by cycles of pain passed through generations. That is why we must become Dreamcatchers; not only to capture divine dreams but also to clear away the debris of dreams that were stolen.
From Yellow Brick to Golden Light: Reclaiming Belief as a Transformative Act
To believe again is not naivety. It is spiritual rebellion. It is reclamation. It is saying: I choose to walk the Yellow Brick Road, not to find the Wizzo, but to rediscover my power to imagine, create, and become. We do not believe because we see. We begin to see because we believe. Thus, the Dreamcatcher becomes a symbol, not of fantasy, but of radical faith. Dreamcatching becomes a tool not for escaping reality, but for transforming it. To dream again is to tell your trauma: You may have paused my belief, but you do not author my destiny.
Reflection Connection
What is one belief you are ready to reclaim?
What was the first dream you remember letting go of, and why?
Can you recall a moment when someone shamed your imagination?
Which of the Leaders’ Affirmations connects with reclaiming your imagination?
What would happen if you allowed yourself to imagine without limits again?
We are becoming the “Social Architects” who will design our healing and transformation.
Let’s affirm and manifest our divine cocoons together. #WeAreTheButterflyEffect If you have not taken the New Dreams Quiz, please complete https://welovemore.typeform.com/NewDreams
