TLiCHL Chamber 2: My Energy Is My Inner-Me: Becoming the Butterfly Effect

Transformative Life Coaches and Healing Leaders Certification, Monday, Aug 17, 6- 8 p.m. on the Healing Station Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/JbzP9w-wS3OHFStRPTYBZg
As a Transformative Life Coach and Healing Leader, I will honor the body, listen to the energy beneath the moment, protect choice, direct my attention with intention, and become responsible for the healing ripples my presence may create.
Becoming the Butterfly Effect By Dr. Bruce Purnell
I am more than shape and skin,
I’m the oxygen in wind.
And my soul is housed within,
My body holds the light I send.
A quiet breath, a truthful word,
A vibration rarely heard.
I cannot control the sky,
But I can choose which way I fly.
From cocooned thought to wings in motion,
One loving act can shift an ocean.
I feed the joy I wish to reflect,
I rise and become the Butterfly Effect.

Join us as we enter Chamber 2: Energy – My Energy is my Inner-Me: Becoming the Butterfly Effect.
This Monday, we will explore what changes when we understand ourselves as more than physical form. Through the Love More premise that the body is a sacred living machine through which spirit experiences the physical world, we will examine attention, intention, emotional and relational atmosphere, interconnectedness, manifestation, and the energy we make available wherever we go. We will connect the caterpillar-to-butterfly metamorphosis with the butterfly effect.
This is not a class about performing positivity, judging someone’s vibration, or pretending that thoughts control every outcome. It is a Brave Space for learning how to notice energy without labeling people, honor the body without being limited to form, and direct intention toward ethical action. Together, we will enter the Hall of Echoes, meet Wizzo and the Pied Piper, practice room reading without mind reading, create a Butterfly Effect Ripple Map, and choose one wingbeat for the week ahead. Please bring a journal, something to write with, and an open heart. If you received a scholarship and cannot complete the course at this time, please contact Sonya Cooper at scooper@lovemoremovement.org.

This session opens Chamber 2 of HEAL-IDS: Energy. Journeyers will explore energy as physical capacity, bodily information, emotional movement, relational atmosphere, spiritual presence, attention, intention, and impact. The class will use the Love More premise that the body is a sacred living machine through which spirit experiences the physical world as an invitation to deeper care, dignity, and consciousness, never as a requirement or as a reason to disregard embodied identity. This session connects the caterpillar-to-butterfly metamorphosis with the butterfly effect. Metamorphosis describes the inner process of becoming, while the butterfly effect describes the ripples our choices may create in and around our lives. Journeyers will practice noticing what draws their energy, distinguishing room reading from mind reading, moving intention toward form through ethical manifestation, and choosing one aligned wingbeat on the Yellow Brick Road.

Session Anchor Energy is not a character grade. Grief, anger, stillness, excitement, depletion, and joy all carry information. The goal is not to perform a high vibration, but to develop heightened awareness, alignment, choice, responsibility, and the Energy of Joy.

Learning Outcomes
• Describe several meanings of energy without treating physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual language as interchangeable.
• Explore the body as a sacred living machine or vessel through which spirit experiences the physical world.
• Explain Energy Over Form while honoring race, gender, disability, culture, history, and other embodied realities.
• Separate observation, bodily sensation, interpretation, and inquiry when reading the energy of a room.
• Distinguish caterpillar-to-butterfly metamorphosis from the butterfly effect.
• Define manifestation as intention moving into form through belief, action, support, feedback, and adaptation – not magical control.
• Apply F.E.V.E.R.S. to an energy awareness conversation.
• Use the Pied Piper Test to protect consent, choice, transparency, scope, and agency.
• Identify one personal energy practice and one butterfly-effect wingbeat for the coming week.
Energy Is Not One Thing
Energy may describe measurable physical capacity, the body’s available resources and activation, emotional movement, relational atmosphere, environmental influence, spiritual presence, or a metaphor for impact. These meanings can enter the same conversation, but they should not be treated as identical. A trustworthy coach clarifies what a Journeyer means rather than assuming.

LensMeaningExampleCoaching Caution
PhysicalMeasurable capacity to produce change or perform workHeat, motion, electrical or chemical energyDo not use physics as automatic proof of spiritual claims.
PhysiologicalBodily capacity and level of activationFatigue, alertness, tension, sleep, exertionLow energy is not a moral failure; persistent change may need medical attention.
EmotionalThe felt intensity and movement of emotionJoy, grief, anger, fear, calmEmotions carry information; they do not rank spiritual worth.
RelationalThe atmosphere co-created between peopleTrust, tension, warmth, cautionObserve and ask. Do not confuse intuition with certainty.
EnvironmentalThe influence of surroundings and systemsNoise, nature, safety, organizational cultureDo not make individuals responsible for harmful environments.
Spiritual / MetaphoricalLife force, sacred presence, consciousness, or ripplePrayer, ritual, a shift in the room, a healing currentOffer as reflection, not diagnosis or coercion.

Energy Is Information, Not a Character Grade
A Journeyer who is grieving may have little available energy and be deeply honest. A person who appears calm may be regulated or emotionally shut down. Excitement is not automatically alignment. Stillness is not automatically peace. Anger is not spiritual failure. Fatigue is not laziness. The purpose of energy awareness is not to label energy as good or bad. It is to ask what it may be communicating, what influences it, what effect it has, and what choice is available.
The goal is not to perform a high vibration, but to participate consciously in what we feed, receive, protect, redirect, and make more possible.
The Body as a Sacred Living Machine
One Love More premise invites Journeyers to imagine the human body as an extraordinary living machine through which spirit experiences the physical world. The body allows us to hear music, feel touch, taste nourishment, move, create, speak truth, protect life, grieve, celebrate, and serve. The metaphor is not intended to make the body cold or disposable, but to expand the consciousness of sacred care. If the body is the instrument of experience, rest is maintenance, nourishment is fuel and relationship, medical care is stewardship, boundaries protect the instrument, and breath connects inner and outer worlds.

Energy Over Form – and the Responsibility Not to Erase Form
Energy Over Form expands human worth beyond appearance, title, physical ability, possessions, and social status. It can help us see the sacred humanity, gifts, values, and presence that extend beyond what is visible. Yet “we are all energy” must never erase the physical-world consequences of racism, sexism, ableism, colorism, transphobia, ageism, poverty, or other forms of inequality. Love More holds two truths together: we share sacred humanity beyond form, and our embodied identities shape how the world treats us. Energy awareness expands dignity; healing justice transforms the conditions that deny it.
Room Reading Without Mind Reading
Observe: What did I actually see, hear, or notice?
Sense: What happened in my body, emotion, or attention?
Interpret: What meaning did I attach to the experience?
Question: What else might be possible?
Ask: Is there a respectful way to check my interpretation?
Choose: What response protects dignity, boundaries, and purpose?
Energy awareness becomes wisdom when intuition meets curiosity.
Metamorphosis and the Butterfly Effect

Caterpillar-to-Butterfly MetamorphosisThe Butterfly Effect
Describes the inner change of the organism.Describes the outward ripple of movement.
Focuses on becoming.Focuses on influence.
The cocoon represents hidden inner engineering. The wingbeat represents an initiating action.
Asks: Who am I becoming?Asks: What am I making more possible?
Begins within the Journeyer.Moves through relationships and systems.

The Journeyer is responsible for the integrity of the wingbeat, not for controlling the whole weather system. A pause, apology, boundary, truthful word, act of rest, policy challenge, or invitation into belonging may become part of a ripple larger than the original moment.
Manifestation: Moving Intention Into Form
Within TLiCHL, manifestation is neither passive wishing nor magical control. It is the process of moving an intention, value, or possibility toward tangible expression through clarity, affirmation, belief, emotional and values alignment, embodied action, support, feedback, and adaptation.

We never tell Journeyers that they attracted abuse, illness, loss, poverty, oppression, incarceration, or injustice through the wrong vibration. Thoughts influence attention and action, but they do not control other people, institutions, every health outcome, or random events. Manifestation is participation in possibility, not proof of total control over reality.
F.E.V.E.R.S. in the Chamber of Energy

DimensionEnergy QuestionPossible Practice
Frequency of Loving MoreDoes my presence preserve dignity and truth?Compassion with boundaries and accountability.
Energy of JoyWhere is life still available?Music, play, gratitude, creativity, celebration, rest.
Vibration of HopeWhat possibility can I make room for?Name the next pathway without demanding certainty.
Elevation of PeaceHow can I stay aligned without letting chaos choose for me?Pause, breathe, speak truth, set a boundary, seek repair.
Reflection of Divine PurposeWhere is my energy being directed?Protect, create, interrupt, develop, or serve.
Scope of ForgivenessWhat can be released, and what still requires justice or a boundary?Explore freedom without forcing reconciliation.

The Pied Piper Test: Ethics in the Chamber of Energy
1. How will we debrief and return the metaphor to real life?
2. Have I explained what we are doing and why?
3. Does the Journeyer have meaningful choice and the right to pass without penalty?
4. Am I using influence, music, breath, prayer, visualization, or spiritual language transparently?
5. Am I confusing intuition with certainty or labeling someone’s energy? 6. Am I making promises beyond evidence, competence, or scope?
7. Does the practice strengthen agency rather than dependence?
8. What support is available if distress emerges?
If the Journeyer cannot freely stop following the music, it is not a Brave Space.
WizOz Reader’s Theater: The Hall of Echoes
Characters: Narrator, Manifest, Hope, Wizzo, The Pied Piper, The Voice
Setting: A hall filled with mirrors, instruments, tuning forks, glowing wires, and a machine labeled THE MANIFESTATION MACHINE.
NARRATOR: Manifest and Hope left the Chamber of Healing carrying one lesson: healing does not begin with shaming the armor. It begins with understanding why it was needed. The Yellow Brick Road led them into a hall where every sound created light and every movement echoed.
MANIFEST: Is that the Manifestation Machine? Can it give us whatever we think about?
WIZZO: It can give you whatever you are willing to feed it.
HOPE: What does it eat?
WIZZO: Attention. Fear. Envy. Desire. Comparison. Anger. Applause. Anything you repeat long enough.
NARRATOR: The Pied Piper played one note, and the mirrors came alive. Manifest saw awards, stages, titles, and applause. Hope saw a Home where no one disagreed, and everyone approved of her.
MANIFEST: That sound feels powerful.
HOPE: It feels familiar. But I do not remember choosing it.
NARRATOR: The machine began pulling light from them. The more attention they gave the mirrors, the brighter the machine became and the dimmer they felt.
WIZZO: Energy always goes somewhere.
NARRATOR: A butterfly landed on a tuning fork and opened its wings. The fork released a new tone. It wasn’t louder, just different. Hope placed one hand over her heart and began to hum. Manifest joined her.
PIED PIPER: You cannot escape energy.
HOPE: We are not trying to escape it, but we are learning how to participate in it.
MANIFEST: Music is not the problem. Taking away our choice is the problem.
THE VOICE: Energy without awareness can be manipulated, energy with intention can be directed, and energy grounded in Love can become medicine.
NARRATOR: The mirrors stopped showing destinations. They showed ripples: a boundary protecting a child, an apology interrupting a family pattern, a song helping a community grieve, a pause preventing harm, and a truthful word changing a meeting.
THE VOICE: What will you feed? What will you follow? What will you make more available?

Debrief: What was the machine feeding on? What helped Manifest and Hope regain agency? Where do we encounter modern Pied Pipers? What is the difference between powerful energy and ethical energy?

Buildshop Two: Butterfly Effect Ripple Map

My wingbeat – one small, aligned action:

______________________________________________________________________________

First ripple – what may change within me?

______________________________________________________________________________

Second ripple – what may become possible in a relationship or family?

______________________________________________________________________________

Third ripple – could this influence an institution, meeting, school, workplace, or policy?

______________________________________________________________________________

Fourth ripple – what wider community possibility could emerge?

______________________________________________________________________________

What can I influence but not control?

______________________________________________________________________________

How will I observe, learn, and adjust?

______________________________________________________________________________

What I must release control over:

______________________________________________________________________________

Buildshop Four: The Energy of Words

Rewrite each statement in language that describes experience, protects dignity, and invites choice rather than labeling identity.

“You have toxic energy.”

______________________________________________________________________________

“You need to raise your vibration.”

______________________________________________________________________________

“Stop being so negative.”

______________________________________________________________________________

“You manifested this situation.”

______________________________________________________________________________

“You should be over this by now.”

______________________________________________________________________________

Debrief Question: How can language invite awareness without judging identity, blaming the Journeyer, or pretending that the coach has unquestioned access to another person’s inner world?

Between-Session Practice

  • Complete the seven-day Energy Observation: environment, body sensation, emotion, attention, interpretation, choice, and the F.E.V.E.R.S. quality present or needed.
  • Complete one Butterfly Effect Ripple Map.
  • Select three songs: the energy you survived, the energy that helps you return to yourself, and the energy you want to cultivate.
  • Complete a Manifestation Into Form plan for one realistic intention.
  • Notice one moment when you read the energy of a room. Separate observation, sensation, interpretation, and what you later learned.
  • Write one ethical commitment for using spiritual or energetic language without labeling, blaming, or controlling.
